Registrations for this event are closed.

The Western Ranges Zone Championship for the 2024-25 season will be hosted by Springwood Athletics Club on the weekend of 7th & 8th December 2024.

The Zone Championship is the first step in the competition pathway for athletes to progress to the NSW State Championships. Athletes in the 7's – 11's age group may choose up to 4 events (not including the relay) and athletes 12's and up may choose up to 6 events (not including relay) to compete in at the Championships.

Bathurst Athletics Club will choose club relay teams based on times from Monday nights and athlete availability.

A timetable is not yet available, however events are expected to run from 8am till 4pm each day. A final timetable will not be released by the Zone Coordinator until after nominations close.

Nominations will close at 11.55pm on Wednesday 20th November 2024, to allow names/events to be finalised and submitted to the Zone Coordinator. No late entries will be accepted.

Additionally, Western Ranges Zone is considering offering a participation program for tiny tots and 6’s who may be in attendance. Final details on this are yet to be advised.

Parents please note: As with all previous years, every club will be allocated 'parent helper' slots at various events across the weekend. Depending on the total number of athlete nominations will depend on how many slots Bathurst are required to fill. There is an expectation that each family attending will volunteer to fill a slot.

Please see the below link for further details regarding Zone/Regional Championships and the progression between.

Athletes in the 16’s (U17), 17’s (U18) & Para 15’s-17’s (Under 18) will have events offered at the zone and Region Championships to provide additional participation opportunities but will not need to progress to reach the State Championships. They will enter the NSW Junior Championships via direct entry and be subject to the entry and technical regulations applicable for that competition

Events for U20, Open and Masters athletes will not be offered at Zone and Region Championships. Athletes will enter the State Championships via direct entry and be subject to the entry and technical regulations applicable for that competition.

Important note: This year there are restrictions placed on the number of athletes that a Club can enter in each event. At this stage, we are taking nominations only, and final confirmation of which events you have been successful in securing will be advised once nominations close.
