Rowing Australia is excited to announce the inaugural 2016 Australian Indoor Rowing Championships (AIRC) to be held across the month of November.
This is the chance for you to participate in a National Indoor Rowing Event, without leaving your hometown.
Events will be run at registered Event Centres throughout Australia, using the same categories, races and common goal of:
- Seeing who are the Australian Indoor Rowing Champions
- Setting a personal best time at an Australian Indoor Rowing Championship event
- Pulling to raise money and awareness of the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation.
- There are multiple race categories with age divisions beginning from 12 years right through to 65 and over. Indoor para-rowing races can also be added if desired.
Races available:
- Men’s and Women’s Open and Lightweight 500m
- Men’s and Women’s Open and Lightweight 1000m
- Men’s and Women’s Open and Lightweight 2000m
- Men’s and Women’s Open and Lightweight 1min rip
- Team Relay 4 x500m (Team Mixed)
There will be prizes up for grabs as well as the opportunity to attend the 2017 C.R.A.S.H-B event in LA, for a world class posted time in the Open Heavyweight, Lightweight Men’s and Women’s 2000m. Every registered competitor will receive an AIRC Event T-Shirt, with medals presented to every National Champion.
