Join the rest of the Club to officially open the 2017-2018 season.  All members are invited to participate in a club row at 10am followed by Official Events at 12noon. We will have special guest Bob Gartland present to talk about some Barwon history. All members are encouraged to row and attend on the day – promotion to the two school programs is especially important as their season is getting underway.

Guest Speaker: Bob Gartland

Bob has been a passionate member of the Geelong Football club since 1972. Currently he is Chair of the GFC's Honouring the Past Committee and the Geelong Football Club History Society. He became a life member of the Club in 2017.

In 2015 after 15 years and thousands of hours or work and research, Bob produced the image "The Greatest Team Of All" which represents every player who has played for Geelong since 1877.

Bob has kindly assisted Barwon Rowing Club with the sourcing of photographs of BRC members who also played for the Cats.
