Barkly Sports Hub became incorporated in 2021 with the idea of having an umbrella organisation that multiple sporting and recreational activities could sit under. This would take away the need to have multiple incorporated associations and everything that comes with being incorporated, including a formal committee, reporting requirements and financial obligations. The idea is that a working group can operate the sport/activity and the Barkly Sports Hub will provide the guidance and necessary governance. Where possible, affiliation will be sought with the relevant Peak State/Territory Sporting Organisation.
2021 & 2022 have been quiet years off the back of the COVID pandemic but 2023 sees a push to get active. If you have an idea or would like to be part of a sport/activity working group, let us know through the Contact page.
