Many of the duties or functions are undertaken in conjunction/consultation with the HP Manager and/or Executive Officer.

• Must be a qualified and registered coach.  Preferred level is BWF Level 1 but a Foundation Coaching qualification may be considered.  It is a requirement of Badminton Australia that all coaches attending the National Championships n 2023 have this minimum qualification.
• A Working with Children check is required (all registered coaches should have a current card)
• Must participate in the team selection process.  This includes attending any trials and tournaments leading into the announcement of the team. The Selection Trial has been scheduled on the 22nd July 2023 and the venue will be at Kingsway Indoor Stadium.
• Once the team has been selected, a minimum of 8 to 10 training sessions must be planned and implemented. A schedule should be provided to players, Manager and to the Badminton WA Board.
• Must ensure players enter into Badminton WA tournaments leading up to the Championships and pair team members in doubles and mixed doubles events in these tournaments.
• Must attend tournaments and provide advice to team members.
• Must rank players and report rankings to BA upon request.
• Needs to work closely with, and support, the team manager both prior to and during the Championships
• Must Coach all players whilst at the event both in the Teams and Individual event.
• Selects teams to participate in event matches in a fair way to achieve best results 
• Will assist with driving team vehicles at the event, if required.
• Must produce a final report within two weeks of the Championships
