Introducing the Esteemed Badminton Victoria Courts Official Committee

In every badminton match, a pivotal role is played by the officials, serving as guardians of the sport’s integrity and ensuring fairness of the game.  

The Badminton Victoria Courts Official Commitee (BVCOC) is an operational volunteer group that supports opportunities and development of badminton court officials such as Line Judges, Umpires and Referees in Victoria, Australia. As a subcommittee of Badminton Victoria (BV), BVCOC is responsible for offering strategic guidance and operational leadership – providing the growth, development and support that BV partnering court official's needs. 

It is with great honor that BV introduces the distinguished members of the BVCOC, whose unwavering dedication and passion have significantly enriched the badminton community throughout Victoria.

Just in the past 12 months, BVCOC has soared to greater heights and levels, expanding their reach beyond Victoria, participating in numerous international events. They hosted two umpire courses, adding around fifteen new umpires to their ranks. Additionally, several officials upgraded their certifications, with two advancing to National Certificate Level, five Line Judges to Oceania Level and one gaining National Accreditation.  

Badminton Victoria proudly supports BVCOC in all their endeavors in the badminton community and looks forward to this continued relationship to expand the quantity of court officials across Victoria in the time to come.
