The Bendigo Junior Classic is a new event, specifically aimed at young players in regional Victoria.

 

There are three age groups and disciplines offered:

Primary School (for years 5 + 6)

Secondary School Junior (for years 7 + 8)

Secondary Schools Senior (for years 9 and above)

 

For all age groups the following disciplines will be offered

Singles and Doubles (no gender distinction for either singles or doubles)

 

Entry fee:

$15 flat fee per entry, no matter how many different disciplines you enter.

A full refund will be given for any withdrawals done before the closing date.

 

Entry information:

Entry is via the Tournament Software link. Once you have set up your Tournament Software profile you can edit it at a later date.

You may only play in one singles and one doubles event.

Doubles information:

When you enter a doubles event, you can either specify the name of your partner (and when they enter they specify your name), or you can leave it blank if you don’t know the name of your partner yet. You can add your partners name later by signing-in to Tournament Software and amending your entry. If you would like us to choose a partner for you, please choose the ‘Partner wanted’ option and we will find a partner for you.

 

Medals;

Medals will be awarded to winners and runners-up.

 

Closing date: 12 September

BV retains the right to close entries early due to reaching maximum capacity.

 

Age qualification:

Players must play in the age group that matches with the discipline or play in a higher age group. Players may not play in a lower age group.

 

Tournament Structure

Singles and Doubles (no gender distinction for either singles or doubles)

Tournament format will be determined by the number of entries.

There will be an initial grading round, and players will progress according to their grading. The format will ensure that players have multiple games in each discipline they enter.

Badminton Victoria reserves the right to merge, cancel or otherwise amend any discipline if required.

 

COVID-19 Rules:

BV Membership

Players do not have to be members of a Badminton Victoria affiliated club.

 

Conditions of Entry

All players submitting entries for this tournament will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the conditions under which the tournament events are to be conducted. Competitors play at their own risk. This is a non-sanctioned event. No player IDs are required.
