Same time, new location!

The Women's Para badminton session is back due to popular demand!

Do you identify as female? Do you want to try para badminton in a fun, safe and social environment? We welcome you to give it a go with the Women's Para badminton session.

Badminton can be played by people of all ages with a physical impairment. Whether you are competitive or social, come along as it will be a great opportunity to meet people face-to-face, have fun and learn something new!

Our All Abilities Badminton sessions welcome beginners, people living with a disability or limited mobility to play badminton in a relaxed and casual environment. Supporters, carers, guardians and allies are also welcome!

  • Free to attend
  • Mentoring available for new players
  • Lightweight racquets and shuttlecocks provided
  • Standing and wheelchair participation welcomed
    • For wheelchair players, please bring your anti-tippers. Where possible we will have a sports wheelchair available for you to try at the session.
  • Invite family, friends, guardians, carers and supporters

Sessions will run every Saturday at 1:30 - 5:00 PM at Altona Badminton Centre (Paisley Park, 217 Mason St, Altona North, 3025)

Attending each session is coach Kay Coady, supported by Effie Abela from Ability Para Badminton Club and Western Suburbs Badminton Association.

COVID-19: In the nature of this program operating in a venue shared with other public and community users, all attendees must respect any COVID-19 guidelines implemented at the venue at the time of attendance.

Catch the Train to Newport and walk 2.2kms west along Mason Street, or catch the bus and alight at the corner of Mason Street & Blenheim Road / Hansen Street, walk west for a couple of hundred metres.
