Updated May 2022: ** CHANGE OF WORKSHOP SCHEDULE **

If you are interested in becoming a new committee member, coach, technical official or administrator with Badminton Victoria, we encourage you to apply for our Women-In Badminton Leadership Program. The only pre-requisite for this program is a love of Badminton! During the included transformative weekend workshop, we will help you discover your inner-leader and build your confidence in both volunteer and professional settings.

In partnership with the Change Our Game initiative with the State Government of Victoria, the program aims to develop a diversity of leaders in the future.

Participants can experience the following outcomes from the program:

  • Personal and group leadership capability
  • Creating an interactive network of leading women who are supportive of themselves, each other and those who follow them
  • Foster an environment of collaboration and sharing of the unique challenges women face in the sector, with a proactive, solutions-based approach
  • Develop the capability of participants to promote their abilities/skills

Participants need to meet the following eligibility criteria to be eligible to participate in the Women-In Badminton Leadership program:

  • Identify as a female
  • Be ambitious and possess a desire to improve their leadership capabilities and progress to more senior positions within the sport of badminton and active recreation sector
  • Be open to mentoring and be actively engaged in the process
