Avondale Raiders Women's Hockey Club was formed in 1999.
The Inaugural General Meeting was held in July 1999.
We became affiliated with the Illawarra Women's Hockey Association in August of that year and played our first matches in the 1999 Indoor season.
In 2014, the Illawarra Women's Hockey Association became part of Illawarra South Coast Hockey and our club name was changed to Avondale Hockey Club Incorporated.
Also in 2014, Avondale was awarded the Champion Club of Illawarra Women's Hockey Association winning the Major and Minor Premiership in Division 1, Minor Premiership in Division 2 and Major Premiership in Division 3.
