20 years ago the club acquired the rib Iain Murray had built as a support boat for the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

"Red Rib" has been our primary coach and support boat ever since, with thousands of hours on the water supporting hundreds of kids learning to sail from absolute beginners through to the top of the fleet at State and National Regattas.

20 years is an exceptional lifespan for a boat like this, and it is now due for replacement.

"Red Rib" is our most important boat, and we are raising funds for the replacement; a Highfield 540 with a 90Hp outboard.

Our target is to raise $60,000 for the purchase of the boat & getting it on the water.

The new "Red Rib" is an Australian Sports Foundation approved project, and therefore donations are tax deductible.
