Club Awards

Annually, the club nominates individuals for the following awards:

• Best Club Person: This award shall be given to the individual of the highest standard who also fulfils the following criteria:

  • Have active involvement in club administration, coaching, refereeing and/or event planning. 

  • Consistently attend club trainings and events

  • Make a positive contribution to club culture

The Best Club Person will be decided upon by the Executive Committee, after consideration of nominations from the wider club community.

• Best Coach: This award will be given to an experienced OR developing coach who has:

  • Coached at least two teams over the past 12 months. 

  • Consistently coached at trainings (University Nationals or Club Trainings) and demonstrates

    • Organisation

    • Initiative

    • Inclusivity

    • The ability to provide constructive feedback to individual players.

  • Contributed meaningfully to club and/or player development.  

  • Demonstrated professional and ethical conduct at all times.

The Best Coach will be decided upon by the Committee, after consideration of nominations from the wider club community.

• Best Player (Male) & Best Player (Female): This award shall be given to the player(s) of the highest standard who also fulfils the following criteria:
  • Play two full seasons for AUTC over the past year.

    • Seasons include Summer, Autumn, Winter, and University Nationals

  • Display good sportsmanship and exemplary behaviour on the field. 

  • Consistently attend club events and trainings.

    • Attendance at training can include Club training and/or University Nationals training

  • Make a positive contribution to club culture.

The Best Male and Female Players will be chosen by the Committee after discussion with the Head Coach.

These awards are presented at the End of Season Dinner for the Winter Season.
