Brett and Max secure 5th Title

The 2025 F18 Nationals delivered a thrilling showcase of skill, resilience, and sportsmanship, featuring a wide range of conditions that tested sailors.
The regatta began with strong winds and heavy seas on Day 1, leading to challenging racing and some dramatic moments across the fleet. Despite the chaos, the incredible sportsmanship and seamanship of many sailors stood out as they went above and beyond to assist fellow competitors in need of rescue.
Day 2 brought slightly calmer but still breezy conditions, setting the stage for fiercely competitive racing as teams regained their footing and pushed hard to improve their standings. By Days 3 and 4, the winds had lightened, introducing tricky and shifty conditions that required strategic finesse and adaptability, leading to notable shifts on the leaderboard (Ado and Jess!).
A massive congratulations to Brett Burvill and Max Puttman, who delivered an impressive performance across all conditions. Battling through injury, they secured a convincing victory—marking their fifth F18 National Title together.
As always, the excitement on the water was matched by the camaraderie and fun off the water. We still don’t know the names of the two friendly security guards who joined us for most of the Gala night.
Looking ahead, the excitement is already building as we gear up for the Formula 18 World Championships, set to take place in Western Australia next January
