Hello AUMC family and friends!
Climbers and environmentalists have shared interests in protecting wild landscapes. We can't do the things we love without the beautiful natural world and the community of humans surrounding us. It makes a lot of sense when your playground is Nature that there is a deep sense of responsibility for caring and conserving the environment. Wilderness areas are also vital for our beloved wildlife and unique flora to thrive. The value of untouched nature is priceless.
We are hosting a short film night, to raise awareness for the upcoming Rally for Native Forests in Light Square, Adelaide/Tarntanya, on the 3rd of November 2024. The rally is being run by the Bob Brown Foundation and is about showing the government that South Australians want an end to Native Forest logging.
We will be showing a few short films about incredible climbers around the world who have protected the environments we all love and need, celebrating the intersections between community, climbing, and environmentalism.
