Join us for a beginner bouldering camp from the 17th-19th of April! Hang, chill and relax during the mid-semester break at Rocky Paddock.
Will be camping at Rocky Paddock, and bouldering at Paddock + the nearby Enchanted Forest. Beginner-friendly trip, hosted by me. The plan would be to meet at uni and car pool to the campsite on the 17th, and head back to Adelaide, late afternoon on the 19th. Pre-booking the campsite is essential, so I will be creating a group chat, and payment will be arranged before the date. Max 15 people, so get in early if you are keen to come! Note, however, that dates may change depending on weather conditions (ideally not).
This will be a climbing trip, and bouldering will be occurring, so some climbing experience is handy. We will be providing crashpads and shoes, and spotting is mandatory. This is a beginner-friendly trip, so please feel free to join if you're not an expert climber. That being said, bouldering can be dangerous, so please know your limits/come on this trip with the mindset of climbing safely.
You will need to bring/have/borrow from the club:
- Tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag.
- A pair of rock climbing shoes (either club or bring your own).
- A sturdy pair of shoes (ideally hiking).
- Tent shoes, if you want.
- Food for three days (2x brekkie, 3x lunches, 1x dinner meal).
- Cooking equipment + fuel.
- Headtorch/lamp.
- A way to filter water (we will bring water in cars but pls bring own filtering method e.g tablets)
- Warm! Emphasis on the warm! clothes for night + climbing/walking/comfortable clothes for the day. Recommend beanie + gloves as its starting to get colder at night now.
- Toiletries (toothbrush, sunscreen, wet wipes, etc). Toilets are provided at the campsite.
- Entertainment. Again, recommend this! (cards, books, phone, charger, journal, whatever suits you).
- Yourself, and good cheer!
