Event information

This event has passed.

It's the cuttlefish breeding season so we're going to Whyalla for a camping and snorkelling trip.

Over a couple winter months each year the Australian giant cuttlefish migrate to Whyalla to breed with each other. The male cuttlefish often use impressive colourful displays to attract females.

We'll head up Saturday morning, camp Saturday night and then snorkel Sunday morning before heading home.

If you don't want to snorkel, there's no reason you can't join for the camping trip anyway but you'll be missing out on an amazing experience.

Cost: fuel cost to be shared with your car (approx $40 each) + $10 if you need to borrow club gear

Gear: Camping gear can be borrowed from the club, we also have some snorkelling gear and limited sizes of wetsuits.

See you there,
