It's a long weekend, so we're running a beginner overnight hike in Mambray Creek! This trip is suitable for people with no overnight hiking experience, however a moderate level of fitness is required due to steep trail sections that are difficult with a hiking pack.

Trip fee: $20 plus petrol (expected to be $30-50 per person depending on carpool arrangements)

Gear required: Hiking tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, hiking pack, hiking stove. Any gear you do not own can be borrowed from the club.

Itinerary:
Saturday 11th June - Meet at Uni at 8:30am to collect gear. Once everyone has arrived, we'll drive up to mambray creek (3 hours-ish) and park cars at Mambray Creek campsite. We'll walk in to the Racecourse campsite (16km) and camp there for both nights.

Sunday 12th June - pack-free day as we'll do a loop walk up Mt Remarkable (18km) (or a linear walk to the summit if we're feeling lazy) before returning to the same campsite. Can check out Gray's hut if there aren't many others around.

Monday  13th June - walk back out to the cars (16km) and drive back to Adelaide.
