We're running a beginner overnight hike in deep creek! This trip is suitable for people with no overnight hiking experience, however a moderate level of fitness is required due to steep trail sections that are difficult with a hiking pack.

Trip fee: $10 (to cover camping fees) plus petrol costs.

Gear required: Hiking tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, hiking pack, hiking stove. Any gear you do not own can be borrowed from the club.

Itinerary:

Friday 25 March - Meet at Uni at 5-5:30pm to collect gear. Once everyone has arrived, we'll drive down to deep creek (1.5 hours-ish) and park cars at Goondooloo ridge picnic area. The majority of the group will hike into eagle waterhole campsite from here (2 km, 40 mins) and set up camp. 2-3 people will stay behind to shift cars to end point of hike, and then meet the rest of the group at the site.

Saturday 26 March - Hike from Eagle waterhole campsite to Tapanappa campground (10 km).

Sunday 27 March - Hike from Tapanappa campground to Tunkalilla Beach (10 km). Retrieve dropped car(s) and drive back to Adelaide, arriving before 6pm.
