Div 1: Varsity Thunder Slugs v Varsity Blue

A very entertaining tight tussle all game over 7 innings with 2 lead changes ended up in a 4 all draw.

Dominant early pitching by both starters saw the score locked at 0-0 until Josh Gloede of the Thunder Slugs hit a home run over the left field fence in the top of the 4^th innings only to be answered by Beau Potter the Blue’s catcher in the bottom  of the 6^th Innings which levelled the scores, but then they continued by adding 2 more runs for the innings to go to a 3-`1 lead

The Thunder Slugs then added three runs of their own in the top of the 7^th Innings to sneak out to a 4-3 lead, but then the Thunder Slugs walked the lead off hitter, Sam Zweck in the bottom of the 7^th Innings. He then proceeded to steal 2^nd and 3^rd Bases with some excellent base running and was then batted in on a Sacrifice Fly to tie the score and that is how the game finished.

Both teams played well.

Div 3 Varsity Black v Snow Angels

After a tight start where the score was tied at 4 each after the first innings Varsity Black eventually took the lead and with some good pitching from new player Kale Karpany ran out worthy winners 15-5. All players contributed and the team were all smiles after the game. It is hoped that the team will continue to improve and that this is the first of many wins for this season.

Div 3 Varsity Giants v Varsity White

Both coaches were very happy with the performance of their teams given both had a fair number of new inexperienced international students members.

The game finished as a tight 6-6 tie meaning that all five teams we have entered in the winter baseball competition this year, up from 3 teams last year, earned their first points for the season and we hope that this augers well for the rest of the season.
