ADELAIDE UNIVERSITY BASEBALL CLUB Est. 1922
What we do ...
AUBC is a founding member of the SA Winter Baseball Association. We have a proud history in providing the opportunity for people of multi-cultural backgrounds, both men and women, with all abilities (students and non-students) to experience the fun of playing and enjoying the less competitive atmosphere of Winter Baseball. The club is a diverse social and competitive group that has also been successful in winning numerous premierships over the years. It also gives parents the opportunity to play baseball with their children.
When and where ...
Pre-season training is held at Waite Oval on the corner of Fullarton Rd & Claremont Ave, Urrbrae. Training is every Sunday at 4pm-6pm from 2nd March up to and including Sunday 13th April 2025 (no training on Easter, April 20th). Two extra training sessions will be held on Friday 7th & 14th March at 5:30pm. Once the season starts the only training that is done is prior to the start of each game.
The Winter Season commences Saturday 3rd May 2025 and continues every Saturday until mid August. Finals rounds then commence for successful teams with Grand Finals usually played on the first Saturday in September.
Our home ground is at Glenelg Baseball Club located at 1 Anderson Avenue, Anderson Reserve, Glenelg North. However, away games are played all over Adelaide depending on which teams are included in your division. Once the program has been announced it can be viewed on the SA Winter Baseball Association (SAWBA) website.
There are 3 separate game times each week: 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Your game time may differ from one week to the next, but all players are expected to arrive one hour prior to game start time to allow adequate preparation time.
What does it cost?
For Adelaide University students, it only costs $80 for Club Membership for the season! For non-students it will cost a little more as you will also have to purchase an AU Sport and Fitness Membership. These prices are listed in detail on our Membership page.
