Players will compete in pairs in a series of doubles and singles matches in a round robin format. The top 4 teams at the end of the round robin will proceed to semi-finals and finals on the final day. Points will be awarded based on number of points won and number of games won.
Example game format:
Team A (Players A1 and A2) vs Team B (Players B1 and B2)
A1 v B1 (Singles), A2 v B2 (Singles), A2 v B1 (Singles), A1 v B2 (Singles), A1 + A2 v B1 + B2 (Doubles)
Currently there are two divisions of play, Beginner and Intermediate.
The tournament will be played over 5 weeks on a fortnightly basis. Matches are on Mondays 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Adelaide Botanic High School (2 Frome Road, Adelaide SA 5000). The Game dates are: 28 March, 11 April, 2 May, 16 May and 30 May (Finals).
Games played will be two sets first to 21, no setting (subject to change based on number of registrations.) Finals will be played three sets first to 21, including setting.
There is a registration fee of $25 for each player and a door fee of $5.
