2024 Queensland Sport Awards Nominations - Offical Nominations
Sport Official of the Year Award
The Queensland Sport Official of the Year will be an individual who has attained a level of excellence in the field of officiating (i.e. refereeing, umpiring, judging etc.). The nominee’s contributions and achievements as a
sport official over the period will be of a standard of excellence that set them apart from their peers, thus warranting their recognition with this Award.
Award Nominations Overview
Nominations will be accepted for achievements in the period from 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2024 (inclusive) except for the ‘Service to Queensland Sport Award’ which is designed to reflect recipient's contributions and positive impacts over a sustained period.
At its discretion, an Award Selection Committee may consider nominations that include achievements recorded substantially within this Performance Period but that may culminate in the days immediately after September 30, 2024 (e.g. Grand Finals for national-level competitions).
When completing your nomination please list in detail the nominee’s achievements during the performance period (1 October 2023 to 30 September 2024, except for Service to Sport Awards which reflect contributions and positive impact over a sustained period). Please ensure the information provided in the nomination makes clear the outstanding nature and significance of the nominee’s achievements and therefore why they should win the Award(s) for which they are nominated.
Please read the Awards Nomination Information document prior to submitting your nominations, which details Award eligibility criteria and provides additional guidance on the factors considered in the assessment of each Award.
