ATQ Athlete Sponsorship Application

ATQ will provide financial support to any athlete, coach or official who is selected to represent Australia at any World Taekwondo World Championships, World Taekwondo Grand Prix Event, or Olympic Games including Paralympics.

ATQ will consider the athlete’s, coach’s  or official’s support for Australian Taekwondo or ATQ  in the previous 12 months in its considerations for funding. 

ATQ will provide the below funding to successful applications:

• $500 support for WT World Championship, or WT Grand Prix event
• $1000 support for the Olympic Games event

NOTE: ATQ will not provide financial support for any athlete, official, or coach who are funded by Australian Taekwondo, World Taekwondo or other group.

Application Requirements & Method:

• Applicants must have held continuous AT/ATQ membership for 12 months or more
• An application can be made upon being selelected by Australian Taekwondo or World Taekwondo to compete at the nominated events
•  Proof of such selection shall be provided by the applicant or guardian. The application may also be made within 6 months of the return of the athlete, coach or official from the event -applications will not be accepted outside of these dates
• Results of the event shall be provided where possible by the applicant or guardian
• Such application should also contain support shown by the athlete, coach, or official at Australian Taekwondo and ATQ events

Application Consideration:

• ATQ will consider such application and information supplied at the first board meeting upon receiving the application
• Within 24 hours of such deliberations the applicant or guardian will be provided the result of their application
