Course Overview

This course introduces participants to the basics of sailing on keelboats, including boat handling, safety and sailing theory.  L1 and L2 students can learn together on the same boat.

Course Prerequisites

Water confidence and the skills, knowledge and experience you've gained from L1-2 courses.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who want to learn how to helm a keelboat and continue their skill development.

All the equipment and safety gear will be provided by Atlas Sailing.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Helming completion certificate.

• Individual Lesson - $145 per lesson [1x 3hr lesson]. (min age16 yrs)
• Skill Level Package - $580 per level [4 X 3hr lessons] – choose four lessons before checkout.
• Fees – all included Aust Sailing [$21/lesson] & credit fees.
• Bonus Race Experience – on completion of a skill level – students received 1 free race with Atlas Sailing Race Team

Atlas Sailing abides by the Australian Sailing Instructor/Participant ratios, hence places are strictly limited. All programs are subject to change with limited notice, based on demand and availability and weather conditions.

Please read the Atlas Sailing refund policy before registering. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the event as there are limited places available. If a session is cancelled due to weather, or another force majeure circumstance, participants will be offered a place on another scheduled date or a full refund.
