Athletics North Queensland is hosting a Pole Vault Clinic on Saturday 21 January in Mackay. This clinic is for athletes 11 above to experience the thrill of pole vault. 

The clinic will cover the following areas to assist attending athletes, teachers and coaches: 

• Pole Vault Drills (on grass and on the runway) 
• Running and Jumping Drills 
• Strength and Flexibility training 
• Technique 
• Competition and Training planning 

The clinic will be facilidated by Paul Hallet Level 4 Coach and Dayne O'Hara Level 3 Coach 

The clinic will start held between 10am -2pm on Saturday 21 January 2023, before the Mackay Summer Series commences. Not yet register to compete in the summer series? Check it out at https://www.mackayathletics.com.au/summer-series/

This clinic is open to athletes who never have experienced pole vaulting as well as those already training in the sport. 

Cost:  $5 per person athlete. On top of this fee, athletes are required to pay for casual venue access on arrival to the venue (max $5) to cover venue access. Teachers, coaches, volunteers can attend and do not need to register.
