Beginning in 2019, the Sportspower 400m Invitational Event will include a special handicapped sprint race, run in the memories of Daniel Gollop and Peta Kerr, athletes who we lost during 2018 and 2019.

The events will raise money for charities nominated by Daniel and Peta's families, which this year are:

Armidale Youth Futures and the Centre for Child and Adolescent Brain Cancer Research

For the race, all female entrants will run a distance of 214 metres (Daniel's Viper Squad Number), and all male entrants will run a distance of 242 metres (Peta's Viper Squad Number).

The memorial race will be a graded event, where all times recorded over these unique distances will be ranked on an age/gender grading, and the highest percentage value will determine the winner(s) of the event.
