NOTE: this was originally scheduled for Sunday 17 November, but that is Show Weekend. Hence it is brought forward one week.
To become accredited to Level 2, the trainee must have passed the written test (at the end of the theory session) and complete this practical assessment, as follows:
Trainees are required to demonstrate competency in the following areas.
- The safety briefing
- Using standard commands
- Voice projection
- Turning left and right
- Setting up on the start line
- Reversing into a pontoon
- Turning around buoys as in a 2k race (or the 1k at Lake Ruger for the Aoraki Open).
If the practical test is completed successfully, the trainee will advance to Level 2.
