Where: Richmond Club in "The Junction" room (corner of London St and Stanmore Rd).

Date: Saturday 22nd of June 2024.

Time: Arrive 6:00pm, we will be getting underway at 7:00pm sharp.

Tickets: $25 with a cash bar

What to wear: Semi formal.

Tickets & Attendance - we require team managers to provide us a list of those who are attending and collect payment. Aoraki will then charge the club for this. We will need each clubs attendance list no later than 14th of June 2024. There will be no Cash or Door Sales.

Food will be provided and a bar for you to purchase drinks.

The evening will be an opportunity to celebrate the end of another successful season, but also to recognise and honour those teams and individuals who represent the best of our Aoraki Dragons community. So with that being said Nominations are open!

We now have your nominations for the various award categories. These are:

  • Manager of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Sportswoman of the Year
  • Sportsman of the Year
  • Most Improved Team of the Year
  • Team of the Year
  • School Team of the Year

The attached Awards Nomination Form includes a list of key attributes that we are looking for, in each category. The achievements of the nominees are for the period of 1 May 2023 to 30 April 2024. 

Managers: had to email the completed forms to aoraki.dragons@gmail.com by 2nd of June 2024 – no late nominations will be considered.

This is your opportunity to showcase your team/club to the wider dragon boating community. The information you provide about your nominees will only enhance the awards experience for everyone involved.

Other Awards

Besides the above awards, the following will also be announced at the dinner:

  • President’s Award will be awarded on the night by the President, Noel Anderton, as determined by him (only)
  • Life Membership Award – will be selected by the Board as they see fit.
  • Julian Yee Award - Awarded annually to the team that best represents the ideals of: sportsmanship, competitiveness and collegiality throughout the season
