The date was moved to SATURDAY 20 January, to accommodate the tides (about 12:30), which means that teams can stay the night (and party) or head back to town.
As per past years, racing is in Small Boats (Swift), and Heads/Drums/Tails are NOT fitted. Caller/Drummer is NOT mandatory. The rough schedule:
- 10:00 am -- Start of the 200m Heat 1,
- 11 am -- Start of 200m Heat 2
- 12:30 -- Le Mans Heat
- 14:00 -- Le Mans Final (per Division)
- 15:00 -- 200m Finals (per Division)
- 16:00 -- approximate finish and Prize Giving

Originally planned for closer to home (eg Corsair Bay, Purau Bay or similar, to save costs) the logistics (for Aoraki Events crew, plus the teams) proved too hard, so we kept it at Akaroa.
