Welcome to the 2024 season of Athletics in Alice Springs.

Training for track and field events is available on weekdays as part of the Desert Run program with the support of Level 1 and Level 2 qualified volunteer coaches. Check the Facebook page for training days and times or email asathleticsclub@gmail.com

Northern Territory Championships

Athletics Northern Territory coordinates the NT Athletic Championships which are held at Arafura Stadium in Darwin.

Information regarding the Championships will be passed on during competition days  and emailed to families. Late entries cannot be accepted, as a strict timeline must be adhered to.

Athletes participating in the NT Championship team will be required to attend regular training sessions in the lead up to the event. 

Awards Scheme

At the end of the season, incentive point tallies are used in conjunction with assessments of sportsmanship, leadership and effort to determine the Clubs Age Champion recipients along with the Track, Throw and Jumps Champions.
