Course information
This is the registration portal for Level 3 Performance Coach RPL applications.
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process allows individuals to gain accreditation by demonstrating their existing coaching knowledge and experience. If you meet the required competencies, Australian Athletics will formally recognise your skills.
How to Apply:
- Review the required competencies in the Level 3 Performance Coach accreditation
- Register for the 'RPL Level 3 Performance Coach' event and make payment ($150)
- Complete the below assessment task
Assessment Task
Design, implement, and evaluate a 6-month coaching plan for a national-level athlete, demonstrating their progression, competition readiness, and adaptability in coaching strategies.
- Part 1: 6-Month Coaching Plan
- Develop a detailed coaching plan for a national-level athlete you coach, leading to a key competition.
- Include an athlete profile, SMART goals, a macrocycle overview, a weekly training schedule, competition integration, recovery strategies, and progress monitoring methods.
- Part 2: Training & Competition Review
- After 6 months, assess the execution of the plan and evaluate the athlete's development and competition performance.
- Include an overview of training, competition performance, challenges encountered, and a reflection on key lessons learned.
