Having just finished what seems to have been the longest Summer Athletics Season ever!! Not that that is a bad thing, but I am looking forward to a chilled and relaxed XC23. !! Well, what an absolutely jam-packed couple of months we have had, the high and lows of competition at the national level and the challenges of natural disasters imposed upon all of us. Toowong Harriers 20/21 Season Wrap-up and Preview 21/22 Season

Hi Team Toowong, So much to talk about, The 20/21 year is in our rear-view window, so long and thanks for all the craziness. The 21/22 year has started as of the 1st Oct., and I am sure we are going to have a great year commencing with the Summer Athletics Season. This newsletter is to wrap up the Winter Season and get things under way for 21/22, and let everyone know so of the key events and activities planned for the year and reflect on the outstanding performances from the Winter XC season.

Mid-Winter XC Update

A Quick update on the Winter XC Season, 5 races down in the Brisbane Series (Toowong currently 2nd overall), The upcoming State XC Relay Championships, and news of new Club uniforms, High Jump training, Working Bee's and a concerning proposition for Jack Cook Park & Perrin Park Precinct to be part of a new State Primary School across the road at the Toowong Bowls Club :(

Club XC Training update

Hello All, Quick reminder of changes to the XC Training schedule, which is still on, though not at Jack Cook Park due to maintenance works currently underway. The all-ages club training sessions are at these alternate venues;

Toowong Harriers Update & XC News

Hello All, Well we have done it the 20/21 Summer Athletics season has finally come to a close, a long way from where we started in a very challenged year but in the end been has a triumph for so many. We now turn our eyes to the Winter Cross Country [XC] Season, and it is a big one. The Brisbane XC21 season starting on the 24th April will be made up of 8x Brisbane XC events, 1x All Schools XC Championships, 1x State XC Relay Championship, closing with the QLD XC Championship on the 31st July.

Toowong Gift 2020

The Toowong Gift, Jnr Gift 3000m Grass Track Event and the 1000m Dash for U11's is on Sunday the 6th of December. Registration closes 12.00pm Midday this Friday the 4th December.

Up Coming Cross Country Championships

We are about to have a Cross Country (albeit condensed). For these Cross Country Events to occur Queensland Athletics have had to make a number of changes to ensure we all meet our Covid 19 compliance requirements. There are to be 4 races in the Brisbane series, 1 State XC Championships and 2 All-Schools Events, in total from August through to Early Mid-September. We will brief what you need to do to compete this XC season and a special offer for QA Base Membership to finish this year - 20/21.
