Welcome to Sydney University Water Polo

Sydney University Water Polo is one of the leading clubs in Australia. We aim to provide all age groups a safe and positive environment to play Water Polo.

The club offers teams for boys and girls as young as U12 through to Open teams. The club offers a pathway to State and National participation and recreational Water Polo competition. It provides specialist coaching for skill development and the opportunity to travel to local and international competition.

Winter 2025 Trials

Sydney University Water Polo Club is holding our Junior 2025 Winter season trials from the 5 May 2025 to 8 May 2025 as per the timetable below.

Where possible the coaches would like players to attend both sessions per age group as they will be focusing on different attributes at each session.

When planning for Term 2 the above training sessions will apply for the whole Term.

As I will be on holiday during this period I am asking that all players who are looking to trial complete our Winter 2025 Trial Attendance Google Form for your specific age group via the links below as this will collate your responses so the coaches will know expected attendance numbers which will allow them to plan the sessions accordingly.

In the meantime for those of you not participating in the upcoming Australian Youth Water Polo Championships in Perth you need to keep up your swimming squads. For those of you who are new to the Club we require our players to attend a minimum of 2 x swim squads a week in addition to water polo training to give players the fitness to be able to play water polo to the best of their ability.
