NSW State Titles - report from round 1

Over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd November 2019, 21 boats took part in Round 1 of the Manly Junior NSW State Titles. Defending NSW champions Liam Karunaratne and Ben Milham in 2761 'Public Enemy' got off to a strong start and stayed in front of the fleet throughout the race to take the first win of the series.

Manly 16's win 2019 Teams Race Trophy

Last Sunday 20th October 2019, 8 teams competed for the annual Teams Race Trophy. Once again the event was hosted by Balmoral Sailing Club and is now in it's 3rd consectutive year of competition following a break in racing since 2004.

[Preview] 50th Manly Junior Australian Titles

This year the 50th National Titles for the class will be held next door to the where it all started in Manly and sailed on Sydney Harbour. The current generation of sailors and parents will celebrate and reflect back on what the class has given them, but also on the outstanding range of champions that laid foundations for exceptional sailing careers by sailing MJs.

All-girl team win the 2018 Team Racing Trophy!

For the first time since its inception in 1987, the Manly Junior Team Racing Trophy has been won by an all-girl team from Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club!     The Manly Junior Teams Racing regatta on Sunday 21st October was the second year running since 2005, after the trophy was apparently lost in a boat shed for over 10 years. Hosted by Balmoral Sailing Club, the day was a fantastic setting for the 28 Manly Juniors competing in nine teams of three boats each.
