2022 WA Indoor Rowing Championships
Event information
Challenge yourself at the biggest and best indoor rowing event in the state.
Join us on August 20 - 9-12pm at the Fremantle Rowing Club in East Fremantle for a day of racing, fun, food, and drink.
All ages (12+) and all level of experience welcome to compete. 8 ergos racing per race, with a 2000m and 1000m distance to choose from.
We will also be running a 4x500m relay race, so grab a team and get training on the change overs.

Covid Protocols
We have covid protocols for this event which include
- Seperating ergs to 2.5m apart
- Seperate spectator and athlete area
- Outside viewing area of the races
- Cleaning protocols between races
Please feel free to wear a mask if you are unable to socially distance

Distances: 1000m, 2000m, 4x500m Relay

Open
Open categories are: 19-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70-74 years, 75-79 years, 80-84 years, 85+ years
The 1000m race will be grouped by age categories (depending on entry numbers, some categories may be group together)
The 2000m will be grouped based on predicted finish time -
Please note all participants must provide a predicted finish time for these events when registering.
There will be a 4x500m relay race, where a team of 4 will race 2000m collectively with on the fly transitions at each 500m mark.
This will include:
Men's Relay and Women's Relay
Depending on entries numbers we will break these relays into divisions (similar to RWA grading) as well as into school age categories
There will be no stand alone events for lightweight rowers, however as this event will be eligible for Australian and world records, we will have scales available for weigh in purposes
The lightweight limits for rowers (age 17+) are:

Lightweight rowers need to be weighed not less than one hour and not more than two hours before their first race of each lightweight event in which they are competing.
This is a sanctioned event, so any 2000m Australian or World Records will be valid. If you have set a 1000m or 2000m record please let the event organisers know and we will send the data through to Concept2 on your behalf.
